Ingredients
Grated cucumber – 1 cup
Fresh curds – 2 cups
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Red chilly powder – ¾ tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander chopped finely – 1 tbsp
Cumin and mustard seeds – ½ tsp each
Preparation
Crush the seeds together coarsely with stone or pestle. Beat curds till smooth. Add all ingredients and mix well and chill for an hour before serving
Note: This is an excellent salad, especially for summer. While selecting cucumbers choose slender cucumbers that are younger and have tender skins. The appearance of skin should be dark green; avoid cucumbers that are dull and yellow.
