Ingredients
Tomatoes – 500gm
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Water – 21/2 cups
Bay leaf – 1
Cinnamon-clove powder ¼ tsp
Red chilly powder ¼ tsp
Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
Butter – 1 tsp
Plain flour -1/2 tbsp
Clove garlic -1
Preparation
Pressure-cook the tomatoes and blend it till smooth. Strain to remove seeds and peels. Heat butter in a pan; add the bay leaf, garlic and fry for a few seconds. Then add the tomato puree and stir. Dissolve the flour in a little water till smooth. Add the flour paste and stirring continuously, bring to a boil. Add the seasoning, salt and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve hot with bread croutons, a swirl of fresh cream, and pepper.
Note: Tomatoes are highly helpful for digestion. This also helps in the function of liver and spleen. If you can take a cup of tomato soup daily, the chance of heart attacks can almost be eliminated.
