Ingredients
Cauliflower – steamed and chopped – 1 cup
Green Peas – cooked – 1 cup
Onion – finely chopped – ½ cup
Green Chilly – chopped – 2 no
Tomato – chopped - 2 no
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Powdered Spices – ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves chopped – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Water – ½ cup
Oil – 1 tbsp
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and add green chilly and onion. After 3 minutes add tomatoes, chilly powder, coriander powder, powdered spices and mix it well with a spatula. When the mixture is thoroughly cooked, take it out from the flame and allow it to cool. When cool blend it in the mixer to make a fine paste. Keep it aside. In another cooking pan, heat oil and add the paste and keep stirring. When the oil from the paste becomes visible, add cauliflower and peas. Mix it well for 5 minutes and then add water and salt. Bring it to boil and continue till it thickens. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
Tip: Vitamin K, which is necessary for clotting of blood is found abundantly in Cauliflower and in green leaves such as spinach and cabbage.
